Nexa Wallet is a next-gen Web3 wallet designed for both crypto newcomers and seasoned users. It enables seamless wallet creation, transaction management, and integration with dApps, all while prioritizing user trust, education, and security. My goal was to craft a frictionless, future-proof experience that bridges Web2 familiarity with Web3 innovation.

Problem

Most existing Web3 wallets are either too technical for beginners or lack advanced features for experienced users. The challenge was to balance simplicity and depth—ensuring onboarding felt safe, smooth, and informative, without overwhelming or compromising on functionality.

Features of NexaWallet

Simplified Onboarding: Step-by-step guides to help users set up their wallets, manage seed phrases, and learn security best practices.

Cross-Chain Support: The ability to easily manage assets across multiple blockchain networks, with seamless switching between them.

NFT Management: A dedicated interface for viewing, managing, and trading NFTs.

DeFi Integration: In-app access to decentralized finance protocols for staking, yield farming, and borrowing.

Custom Gas Fees: An easy slider to adjust transaction speeds with real-time gas fee estimates.

Enhanced Security Features: Multi-factor authentication, biometric login, and recovery mechanisms for compromised accounts.

My Role

As the Lead Product Designer for Nexa Wallet, I led the end-to-end design process—from discovery to delivery. My focus was on creating a secure, intuitive experience for managing crypto assets across multiple blockchains. I conducted UX research, mapped user journeys, and crafted wireframes that informed the overall structure of the app. I designed a scalable design system in Figma, ensuring consistency and adaptability across screens and platforms. I collaborated closely with developers, providing interaction specs and supporting implementation. Additionally, I facilitated user testing to validate design decisions and iterate on user flows, especially around onboarding and transaction tasks.

User Personas

To design an inclusive and effective user experience, we identified key user personas:

  • James: A tech-savvy software developer who regularly interacts with DeFi protocols and trades NFTs. He values security and seeks a wallet that simplifies multi-chain asset management while offering advanced features for his needs.

  • Sarah: A digital artist exploring the world of NFTs. She needs an intuitive and secure wallet to manage her art and earnings, with a focus on simplicity and guidance for crypto newcomers.

  • Michael: An experienced financial analyst and active crypto trader. He requires a wallet with robust multi-chain support, advanced gas fee controls, and seamless DeFi access to enhance his trading efficiency.

User Flow

Conclusion

Nexa Wallet proves that powerful Web3 tools don’t need to feel complex. With the right mix of thoughtful UX and robust design systems, we created a wallet that feels secure, approachable, and ready to onboard the next million users into the decentralized economy.
